We are pleased to announce today that classroom course delegates will now get access to the online critical appraisal course as soon as they reserve a place and this subscription will last until 3 months after the classroom course date, instead of 1 month. This change has been made in anticipation of the changes coming to the online course over the next few weeks. The longer subscription duration will allow delegates to make full use of the new and updated online materials which will be available shortly.

Delegates who have already booked places on forthcoming courses in London, Hong Kong, Sydney and Manchester will have their online subscription automatically extended.

A brand new course handout has been developed for the critical appraisal courses from April 2010. We've updated the content and added brand new exercises. These changes are based on the feedback we've collected from recent courses. We are pleased to announce three more dates for the one day critical appraisal classroom course in 2010. On 16 April 2010 the course takes place at the London Hilton Metropole. On 19 April 2010 the course moves to the fabulous Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong. Finally, on 23 April 2010 the Hilton Hotel in Sydney hosts the course. Reservations are now available and include instant access to the online course.

Today we're announcing the first critical appraisal classroom dates in 2010. On 20 February 2010 the course will be held at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC hotel. On 14 May 2010 the Hilton Manchester Airport will host the course. As usual, course delegates get access to the online course as soon as they register and access lasts until one month after the classroom course date.

Superego Cafe returned to Sydney on 24 October 2009 to hold its second critical appraisal course in a year.  We chose the Hilton Hotel as the venue again and the service received was perfect. There are not many conference venues in the world which provide delegates with complimentary use of Microsoft X-boxes as well as the usual refreshments! Thankfully we didn’t lose any delegates to the consoles. It was a busy day covering all the topics and delegates departed with their heads full of knowledge, their hands clutching the latest edition of The Doctor’s Guide to Critical Appraisal and massively improved confidence in understanding and appraising clinical papers.

Superego Cafe ran its first event in the Middle East today. Many senior clinicians gathered at the fabulous Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for the one day critical appraisal course. As expected the conference centre looked after our delegates very well, with valet parking, comfortable surroundings and delicious food, which allowed everyone to focus on understanding evidence-based medicine. The feedback from the delegates was excellent and confirmed the status of Superego Cafe as a leading provider of critical appraisal training. The event was reported by the Gulf newspaper and the Emirates News Agency.
