Critical Appraisal Workshop lands in Sydney again
- Sunday 16 October 2011
- Australia | Two day workshop
A sold out workshop took place this weekend at the Hilton Sydney, attended by delegates from a wide range of professional backgrounds. As usual the fantastic setting did not disappoint, with amazing culinary delights during the lunch and refreshment breaks. Between eating the delicious food and playing on Xbox 360 consoles in the lobby, a comprehensive review of critical appraisal knowledge and skills took place, supplemented by exercises on real clinical papers. The unique Superego Cafe course handout and focus on practical tips generated excellent feedback. We’ll be returning to Sydney in 2012 and watch out for a new Australian venue for the Critical Appraisal Two Day Workshop!

Research workshop for pharmaceutical sales representatives
- Thursday 13 October 2011
- Australia | Bespoke course | Pharmaceutical
On our first day in Sydney we ran a Critical Appraisal Bespoke Workshop for sales representatives at one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. Sales aids make use of research data to help products stand out in crowded market places. At Superego Cafe we have developed a range of unique training materials specifically for the pharmaceutical industry. The bespoke course today focused on improving understanding of key research concepts to help improve communication with healthcare professionals using a mixture of practical exercises and role play. The event was an outstanding success judging by the confidence exuding from the delegates by the end of the training. Well done everyone and happy selling!
Australian Red Cross trained by Superego Cafe
- Friday 24 June 2011
- Australia | Bespoke course
Superego Cafe’s expertise in critical appraisal skills training is widely recognised. Every week organisations worldwide contact us to help educate their employees. Bespoke critical appraisal training events are easy to arrange - a few emails and phone calls are all it takes, even for international events. A good example is the training event for the Red Cross organisation in Australia. Less than 5 months after the first email contact, ninety clinicians and scientists attended the critical appraisal workshop this week at the prestigious Grand Hyatt hotel in Melbourne. During the two day event, delegates gained the knowledge and skills of critical appraisal by completing short exercises and appraising real clinical papers. The feedback has been excellent.
Critical Appraisal Workshop in Sydney
- Wednesday 02 March 2011
- Australia | Two day workshop
We are pleased to announce two new dates in Australia for our flagship critical appraisal skills training event. On 9-10 April 2011 and 15-16 October 2011 the Critical Appraisal Two Day Workshop will take place at the Hilton Sydney. Delegates will be taught critical appraisal skills from first principles and practice their new skills on 10 clinical papers over two days. This is the most comprehensive training on critical appraisal available and generated excellent feedback at the last event in London. Due to the workshop nature of the event, places are very limited, so be sure to book your place as soon as possible.
