Improving critical appraisal skills with the Medical Science Liaison Association

The aims of the Medical Science Liaison Association (MSLA) are to provide a common platform in the UK to drive compliance value, credibility and sustainability of the Medical and Scientific Liaison (MSL) role in the pharmaceutical industry. The MSLA launched "How to…" educational seminars in 2012 , a series designed to enhance and add value to the MSL function. Members were surveyed to identify topics which are of most interest to the field medical community and the seminars kicked off with a "How to Critically Appraise a Clinical Paper / Statistics" day in 2012. In November 2013 The Critical Appraisal Company returned to deliver another day on improving critical appraisal skills. The training was supplemented by every delegates receiving access to the Critical Appraisal Online Course and a copy of The Doctor's Guide to Critical Appraisal.
