Dublin hosts the Critical Appraisal Workshop

The Critical Appraisal Two Day Workshop took place in Dublin this weekend. The venue was the Radisson Blu hotel, a newly built deluxe hotel in the heart of Dublin city centre. Delegates were treated to a high quality service, with comfortable surroundings, delicious food and hot beverages. It’s the first venue we’ve used where the meeting room itself is equipped with two coffee machines for the exclusive use of the delegates! The nightlife of Dublin provided the perfect wind down experience after the first day and everyone managed to make it to the second day of the workshop. We’ll be visiting Dublin again on 15-16 September 2012. Reservations are now being accepted.
Critical Appraisal Workshop arrives in Birmingham

Birmingham was the venue this weekend for the first Critical Appraisal Two Day Workshop outside London. In 2012 Superego Cafe is bringing its popular workshop to Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Dublin. The format is exactly the same as the London workshops, with delegates given the knowledge and skills to read clinical papers with confidence and the opportunity to practice with exercises using real clinical papers. This workshop was also the first in which the new edition of The Doctor’s Guide to Critical Appraisal was included in the delegate pack. Delegates included medical students, doctors and dentists, from a range of clinical specialties. The feedback comments at the end of the workshop were excellent and demonstrated how much benefit had been derived from attending the workshop. Today Superego Cafe ran a critical appraisal skills course for a major pharmaceutical company at the Peabody hotel in Orlando, Florida. The training took the form of an interactive workshop session during the company’s conference. Brand new website for critical appraisal launches today

You’ve probably already noticed - the criticalappraisal.com website has had a makeover! The website has a cleaner, simpler look and the brand new logo is on prominent display. We’ve introduced many changes to optimise the user experience. Pages are smaller in size and load much faster. Fewer clicks are needed to navigate around the website and some pages have been removed or merged with others. Course information is presented more clearly and we’ve included more information on venues. We hope that you find the website both pleasing to the eye and highly functional.
