Critical appraisal training in California

Today in San Francisco we delivered a training session on critical appraisal skills to delegates working in a major pharmaceutical company.

As well as going over key concepts, delegates were taken through real research papers to put their skills into practice. Adopting an interactive approach is important as it helps to illustrate what can otherwise be difficult-to-grasp concepts.

We produced a bespoke course booklet for this event which contained a range of short exercises to supplement the clinical papers. It was a short visit to sunny California but it was great to see the confidence in the room improve as the session progressed.
