Critical Appraisal Workshop lands in Dubai, UAE

One hundred senior clinicians in Dubai attended Superego Cafe's Critical Appraisal Workshop on 5-6 April 2011.

This was the third critical appraisal skills training event in three years and was an advanced course focusing on appraising real clinical papers. Over two days a collection of research articles were appraised, including cohort studies, case-control studies, randomised controlled trials and meta-analyses.

Delegates were shown how to read clinical papers rapidly and make sense of data. The feedback was excellent and as a show of appreciation, we were presented with a trophy. Plans are already in place for another critical appraisal event.
