Critical Appraisal in the AI Era: Why Evidence Validation Matters More Than Ever

Critical appraisal has always been about more than understanding research. It's about applying scientific judgement to determine whether evidence is trustworthy and appropriate for clinical decision-making.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in healthcare, that judgement is more important than ever. AI can rapidly summarise and appraise clinical studies, but it cannot replace the expert validation needed to ensure scientific accuracy, appropriate interpretation, and regulatory confidence.

To support this emerging need, we've launched the Evidence Validation Learning Centre (EVLC) - a collaboration between The Critical Appraisal Company and CogniQuest.

Our new CPD-certified programme, Advanced Scientific Judgement and Evidence Validation for the AI Era, is designed for medical and healthcare professionals who want to build the skills to critically validate AI-generated evidence appraisals using sound scientific reasoning and evidence-based principles.

The programme is delivered as a virtual instructor-led workshop over two half days, with places limited to 25 participants per cohort.
