Critical Appraisal Training – Royal College of Physicians of Ireland

In September 2026, we delivered critical appraisal training for pathology trainees through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

The programme focused on evaluating study design, identifying sources of bias and interpreting statistical findings. Participants considered how to move beyond listing strengths and limitations to explaining their implications for the reliability and applicability of the evidence.

Teaching supported both examination preparation and the critical evaluation of research encountered in clinical and laboratory practice.
