Conducting a Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis – UK Teams

Who we trained: UK clinicians and researchers undertaking evidence synthesis.

What we delivered: With AI tools promising systematic reviews in hours, our workshop returned to the methodological foundations of robust evidence synthesis. Teaching covered protocol development and PROSPERO registration, reproducible searches, PRISMA reporting, risk-of-bias assessment and GRADE certainty of evidence. Participants examined when pooling was justified, how heterogeneity and publication bias affected interpretation, and where AI-assisted workflows required human verification.
