Advanced Critical Appraisal and Evidence Interpretation – Sicily

In September, we delivered bespoke advanced training for senior global medical leads in Sicily, using the team’s own clinical trial and real-world evidence publications.

Interactive sessions examined trial design, statistical power, non-inferiority margins and the interpretation of treatment effects. Appraisal of observational research addressed confounding, propensity score methods and the assumptions underpinning causal inference.

Discussion focused on whether study designs and analytical approaches supported the conclusions drawn, with emphasis on methodological rigour, clinical relevance and defensible scientific interpretation.
