Clinical Audit and Scientific Communication – Dermatology
20th Jul 2026 | Bespoke Training
We delivered bespoke training for dermatologists in designing clinical audits and preparing findings for scientific meetings and publication.
Teaching addressed the selection of evidence-based standards, eligibility criteria, data collection and analysis, alongside the distinction between clinical audit, service evaluation and research. Participants considered how to interpret departures from agreed standards, implement improvements and reassess practice to complete the audit cycle.
Sessions also examined the preparation of abstracts, posters and manuscripts, emphasising transparent reporting, appropriate presentation of results and conclusions proportionate to the findings. Discussion covered communicating uncertainty, acknowledging methodological limitations and responding to scientific questioning and reviewer critique.
